The Factory

Founded in 1987, Ceramirupe Cerâmicas focuses its activity on the production of high-quality stoneware tableware and decorative items. We are located in Castanheira, a typical village in the historic parish of Cós, about 10 km north of Alcobaça.
This is where we concentrate all our manufacturing and service operations: administrative and commercial, showroom, R&D centre, product design, laboratories, production, logistics and factory shop open to the public. Surrounded and inspired by the rural and forest landscape that surrounds us, from here, to the whole world, we produce high-quality ceramics with skilled local labour and cutting-edge technology, in an evolutionary process based on our commitment to sustainability.

Production, humane, and sustainable.

In every project, whether bespoke or inspired by our own ideas, we are guided by rigour and attention to detail. It all starts with our raw material in its purest form: fine porcelain stoneware, locally sourced and with a low carbon footprint. Over the years, we have developed a production approach based on sustainability, where recycling and reusing surplus materials are part of our daily routine. This constant evolution is the result of a combination of materials engineering and increasingly refined production processes. To this technical know-how, we add our experience in handcrafted decoration, fully integrated into industrial operations. We have thus been able to scale up production to keep pace with the growth of our customers, both in customised projects and through our own brand.
